Rachel Rose, M.Ed.
Educator
Rachel lives in Cambridge, VT with her husband and daughter. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Goddard College and a Master’s Degree in Reading Education from Old Dominion University. Rachel is a K-6 licensed teacher in Vermont. She has participated in alternative education throughout her life, beginning with third grade and continuing in high school, college, and as a teacher.
Rachel has been teaching since 1999. Her first teaching jobs were as a fourth grade teacher and middle school reading specialist in public schools. She then taught third through sixth grade at The Schoolhouse Learning Center in South Burlington. She has spent the past eight years running Cambridge Connections, an afterschool enrichment program at the Cambridge Elementary School. Rachel has been working with the local homeschool community since 2009 in various ways- tutoring, teaching classes, completing end of the year assessments, and consulting with parents. She currently teaches science classes through GPES, works as a STEM Trainer for Vermont Afterschool, Inc., completes End-of-the-Year Assessments for homeschoolers, and tutors during the summer months.
Rachel’s two biggest hobbies are gardening and snowboarding. She also enjoys canoeing, camping, biking, hiking, doing yoga, and cooking.
